Starting and Resuming a Campaign

If you are aiming to open multiple campaigns at the same time, campaign opening must be staggered to avoid overloading the campaign database.
From V10.6.600, campaign opening will be staggered automatically.
If running software prior to this version, the recommended maximum rate for opening campaigns is
- outbound - 6 campaigns per tenant per minute, and
- inbound - 30 campaigns per tenant per minute
This applies to campaigns opened from the Softdial Campaign Manager™ client, Softdial Scheduler, Softdial Campaign Manager™ Scheduler or via the API (by issuing an OpenCampaign [OC] or ResumeCampaign [RC] message).
A campaign can be started (or resumed) only if
- it is in a stopped or suspended state, and
- its parameters are not being edited.
To Start a campaign if stopped, or Resume a campaign if suspended:
- Select the campaign
- Click
A warning message may pop up if the campaign needs to be pre-processed. See Pre-Processing a Campaign.
The campaign will enter into a starting state . and messages will begin to appear within the Server Notifications. This will be followed by a change of state to running, and further messages may appear.
