Stop/ Start Services
The Softdial Service Status window (Fig. 1) contains two columns of buttons.

The service control buttons function as indicated in Table 1 below:

To perform an action on
- a single service - (from Version 10)
- select the service from the Service Name list (which activates the Single Service controls)
- click the required button from the Single Service column (Table 1)
Always wait at least 15 secs before restarting a single service.
- all services - click the required button from the All Services column (Table 1)
The Service Status window only refreshes periodically. To see service status as it is right now, click (refresh)
Stopping any service produces an alert box (Fig. 2) warning you of the consequences of stopping the services during live operation before allowing you to continue.
Softdial Contact Center™ telephony services should always be recycled in the following order.

- Select the CallGem Dialer & ACD Engine service. Click
(stop)
- Select the Softdial Telephony Gateway service. Click
(stop & restart)
- Wait for at least 15 seconds to give time for resources to be freed.
- Select the CallGem Dialer & ACD Engine service. Click
(start)
