If you are installing the free version of NetBorder Express, the gateway will not start if you have too many channels configured. The free version only allows 12 channels.
Click on Assigned BChannels and configure as below.
- Board ID: 1
- Interface ID: 1
- First channel: 1
- Last channel: 12
- Channel group ID: default
Save the configuration and start the gateway. To start:
- select Status and Controls tab
- select Controls tab
- click Start Gateway
If it does not start, select File Browser tab, expand logs and inspect the log files for errors.

Net Border Express does not set ToS byte by default. In Advanced Configuration, set netborder.media.rtp.tos to 184.
On all STG hosts, check that the following Windows registry setting is correctly configured:
From V10.6.390 - this setting is now configured by default.
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters
- Setting: DisableUserTOSSetting
- Type: REG_DWORD
- Value: 0

STG must translate agent extensions to their softphones and everything else to the NetBorder Express gateway:
<addressTranslations>
<translate address="7" translated="sip:7@10.1.0.10:65000" />
<translate address"*" translated="sip:*@10.0.0.193" />
</address translations>
