Configuration
In Standalone Mode, when Softdial Webphone™ is run, its initial (hard-coded) settings are stored in the browser's Local Storage. It then reads any configuration specified in the config.js file in phone\resources. These are also saved to Local Storage, overwriting the existing settings if found.
This config file contains all the necessary connection and configuration parameters, including:
- tenant name
- Softdial Repository™ URL
- default extension
If present, this overrides the parameter
- FreeSWITCH™ URL
- custom SIP.js configuration parameters
SIP.js, a full-featured SIP stack written in JavaScript, is one of the base components of Softdial Webphone™
