Licensing Procedure
In order to use Softdial Contact Center™ in production, a license must first be obtained from

Whether requesting an initial license, or upgrading/ renewing an existing license, the procedure is the same:
- Open License Viewer
- Retrieve the unique 12-digit serial number for that machine, by either:
- Taking a screenshot of the Softdial License Viewer window
- Copying the serial number
- Clicking the Generate License Request button. This creates a file on the desktop (Softdial License Request.xml) which includes the serial number.
- Whichever method you choose, email the screenshot/ serial number/ xml to support@sytel.com.

Sytel delivers licenses by email, in the form of a *.SoftdialKey file which may be delivered as a compressed .zip file.
To apply the license:
- Unzip the file (if necessary) and check that it has a .SoftdialKey extension. If not rename the file with this extension.
- Move the license file (*.SoftdialKey) to the server where the Softdial CallGem™ service is installed. This must be the same machine from which the 12 digit license code was generated.
- Double click on the license file (*.SoftdialKey), or right click and select Open
