Editing a Widget
Widgets have a number of options governing

which KPIs are displayed
-
which entities are included
-
what form the display takes
To set these options for a widget, click on its Widget Settings button . The Widget Settings dialog is displayed (Fig. 1).

The settings are arranged in tabs, as described below.
Tab | Purpose |
---|---|
Widget Type | To define the type of widget you require |
Data Tab | To set which KPIs are displayed, and specify configuration. For details on all available KPIs, see KPI Reference. |
Display Tab | To set how the selected data is displayed within the widget. The tab's contents vary depending on the type of widget selected. |
Filters Tab | To limit the widget to display only the data that meets the specified filter criteria. |
Thresholds Tab | To draw attention within the widget to the fact that the value of a metric has met or exceeded a threshold. Such metrics then display in the specified color instead of the default. |
Summaries Tab |
To define which data columns are displayed in summary in the report. Available only for History reports of type Summary. |
Formulas Tab |
To create formulas which create new columns by acting upon values from one or more aggregation columns. Available only for History reports of type Summary. |
Widgets of type IFrame and HTML have simple settings without tabs, as detailed below.

Any valid HTML markup entered in this field will be rendered inside the widget area. Some invalid markup (e.g. <b>Hello</h1>) will be corrected in rendering (e.g. <b>Hello</b>). Invalid markup that could not be corrected will not be rendered. |
